Glen D. Chambers, a 2002 retiree from the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), has over 20 years experience in auditing information systems at some of the largest Department of Defense contractors in the country. Glen’s Information Technology (IT) auditing experience has included detailed reviews in areas such as internal controls, cost allocations/job accounting systems, economy and efficiency reviews, and computer performance evaluations.
During Glen’s tenure with the Federal Government, he cultivated a unique background combining the expertise and discipline of contract auditing with the technical knowledge of a specialist in the area of information systems Glen held positions at all organizational levels within DCAA (field, region, and headquarters) and served in various management level positions from 1982 to 2002. Because of Glen’s diversified background within DCAA, he was called upon numerous times to guest instruct various EDP audit related courses at the Defense Contract Audit Institute (DCAI) in Memphis, Tennessee.
Since leaving government service in November 2002, Glen has been actively involved in providing consulting/training services to various government audit organizations at the local, state and federal levels. Glen has developed and delivered Assessing Data Reliability training to the National Association of Local Government Auditors (NALGA), the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office, the Nevada Legislative Auditor’s Office and the Texas State Auditor’s Office. Additionally, Glen has provided in-depth information systems audit related training to other organizations including the Department of Homeland Security – U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Milk Market Administrator, State of Alaska – Division of Legislative Audit, Missouri Department of Transportation, West Virginia Department of Highways, Delaware State Auditor’s Office, City of Philadelphia Controller’s Office, New York City Controller’s Office, and the New York Citywide Training Center.
Glen is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and is an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
